Paint Correction Process Overview
Every paint correction starts with a thorough standard exterior wash and deep clean of your wheel faces, barrels, and wheel wells. If needed, we use a clay bar to get rid of stubborn contaminants stuck in the clear coat. Then we tape off all plastics and trim to keep polish off them. Before we start polishing, we measure the clear coat thickness to make sure it’s safe to work on. We pick the best pad and polish combo for your car and carefully polish every painted panel. After polishing, we wipe everything down with alcohol to remove polish dust and residue. Finally, we finish with a free 1-year semi-permanent ceramic coating to protect your paint from UV rays and small debris. (For extended protection, you can opt to upgrade to a longer-lasting ceramic coating upon request.)
Paint Enhancement Polish:
This is a light polish that removes about 50% of light swirl marks, haze, and fading. Perfect for newer cars or as a prep step before getting a ceramic coating. It gives your paint a quick refresh and a nice shine to help the coating bond better and last longer.
Stage 1 Paint Correction: (most popular):
Most cars on the road today could use a Stage 1. It’s our most common and popular option and this polish removes around 70-80% of imperfections like light scratches, swirl marks, and slight oxidation. It restores your paint’s depth, color, and clarity, leaving it smooth and glossy, great for bringing dull paint back to life.
Stage 2 Paint Correction:
First, we do a heavy cut polish to remove the worst imperfections. This step can leave the paint looking a bit hazy, which is normal because the aggressive cutting needed to remove deep scratches affect the paint’s clarity. Then we polish the whole car again with a finer Stage-1 polish to remove that haze and bring back the paint’s depth and shine. Polishing twice like this removes about 80-90% of imperfections and gives you a near-showroom finish.
